Nashville's Tim Carroll turns a mite of a Vox into a mighty rock 'n' roll dragon slayer. Some PFs have a cleat across the bottom to attach the baffle, which will also need trimming away, but mine only had side and top cleats. The hole ends up being flat on the top so you can stay below the gold front trim strip. Large Genuine Vox Logo, Gold Plated Plastic - as used on the AC-30 combo amplifier and many Vox speaker cabinets. I put the Mod Series 10-35 speaker in my Vox Pathfinder 15R, and now this amp sounds like its supposed to sound.
I cut mine from the back side using a jig saw. You will have to remove a lot of staples so you can flip the bottom of the cloth out of the way.

Upgrade to Pro Articles Staff Fresh Tabs. As long as you do careful marking, you can cut the 10" hole leaving the grille cloth attached at the top of the baffle. While I like the 10' Bulldog speakers, they're not very loud or efficient (I have them in the 210 Pathfinder stack). I think G10 Vintage is the best speaker for Vox style amps. I had to remove the bell cover on the Weber. Don't use any American-flavored speakers. It is an easy mod, but you first want to check the depth of the speaker and diameter of the magnet do not foul the chassis. I did this as well, fitting first a WGS Veteran 10 and then a Weber Silver Ten alnico. If is not provided for 110V-125V, a better option is to replace the existing 240-240 volt transformer (p/n 057-VFE) with a 120 volt transformer (p/n 057-VFU).
